What do you recommend for a Rebel T3i lens? i want a good quality STILL pictures and video.

I have a nikon series E 75-150mm 3.5 lens on GF2, pretty sharp. For $40 on ebay.

good review, i use the sigma 150-500 with 1.4 teleconvertor for video on the GF1/GH1 with my aperture control mod. Of course there is no IS or autofocus but that doesn’t matter for most video needs manual focus pulled anyway. I too look forward to the rumoured 100-300 IS lumix lens. Graham

hi…. my camera is a fujfilm s5500 i would like to attach a telephoto zoom lens but how and what lens should i get thanks

Graham Houghton says:

@Olphus The GF1 lacks manual control and without the ptools 3.36 hack can only record in 720p and has no provision for external mike. Otherwise the video results at 720p match the GH1 using the same lens.

@ghough12 I have found that I don’t need shutter speed control with videos on the GF1 as long as I have a stepless aperture ring on the adapter. I can usually control the shutter speed by just stopping it down.

What lens is mounted on camera, and how much did you pay?

dastobek says:

very interesting video. thank you

@ISAYLORI Ebay is a great place for cheap manual focus lenses. Try searching ebay for something like 35-70mm or whatever focal range you are looking for.

Graham Houghton says:

@Olphus as far as i can determine, if you use a manual lens the camera will adjust iso and shutter speed automatically, however i don’t think you have any control of it like the GH1. This has been one of the bitches gainst the GF1 with its lack of manual modes in video.
