The sony GM lens have 3d pop too. 😀
I have this lens, I like it, but I kind of not like the build of it. It feels like it would break if I dropped it lol. THe lens hood and cap is so brittle feeling.
Does the quality of the photograph (or end result) justify the price difference between this lens and the Sony 28mm?
Your french accent is atrocious.
Hi — would you recommend this over the Zeiss 16-35mm f4 as a travel lens?
How would you compare this lens to the sony 28mm ??
Hey.. Batis 25/2.. I saw some complaints about Vignetting in full frame sensor. Can you please verify. sony 28/2 or batis 25/2 for professional use? is it worth the extra money? Thanks for the help.
Excellent review. Will you be reviewing the new Batis 18mm sometime?
Great review …..
Ya get what you pay for! That the pain of price up front and you will never be let down……ever! Oh what’s special in the lense…..unicorn horn dust, very hard to get. Nice as always review Sean! That glass really makes that Sony sing!
what happened to your camera, is it repaired with duck tape on the front and top. – another great review, i resently bought the sigma 19 2.8 on your recommendation in the video. thanks – keep them coming.
this is not a LED is an OLED… 😉
please make some videos about video quality and image quality of a6300 or a6500 with batis 25 and 85 lenses
Zeiss is
Nice
and you gonna pay a
Price
I am lucky enough to have one, and I completely agree. It’s a beautiful lens, and one of the most obvious things to me is how much the colors pop. It’s also a good astro lens, but there is quite a bit of vignetting. But man, the sharpness and the colors, wow! The colors especially. The images are so nicely saturated.
How long can the OLED last? can it last as long as the lens? A youtuber say the internal is some part made from plastic! So not last long? Can’t last a life time? Oh my! DIdn’t thought about this! Still recommend? 25mm or 18mm Batis or 21mm Loxia from Zeiss?
Totally concur with assessment of Zeiss lenses. Good report! Thank you.
This review was so revelational that it has changed my view of photography gear.
Love your reviews, thanks
🙂
Very interesting review!
Question, hope you can help. I Just purchased Sony a6500, and I’m trying to decide between the Zeiss 25mm f/2 or the 55mm f/1.8 for best all round lens. I can only choose 1, any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
i never understood why do you have to pay so much for a wide angle prime, even of superior quality, especially if you are not making money out of it. Everything south of 35 mm is designed , in my view, for landscape shots (because in architecture you cannot do real, paid for work without a tilt shift lens so you don’t have distortion). here you are with a 2000 dollars lens on uour camera, shooting who knows what, beaches and ducks and general things, and here comes your niece, who assumes that , with that lens and that camera. you gonna take a much better picture of her than her iphone. and here you are, explaining her that this lens is not designed for portraits, that is has a really bad look with the faces in closeups, and you wish you had a normal cheap 50 mm with you…i know a lot of people in the Canon world that bought the famous 24mm L 1.4 for a ton of money, realizing after a while that they are not using it
