Christopher Daniels says:

They are fantastic B cameras.  I used two of them in my production company to augment my A camera.  Because they’re so small you can mount them anywhere.  Like you mentioned I had Cinestyle configured which meant I could blend my footage seamlessly with my A camera footage in editing.  Love the Canon M-series!

Piotr Poznański says:

Could i use it for fb live streaming?

chelepalma says:

Nice setup I use the eos M 2

Sam Medley says:

Perfect budget Vlogger setup? Awesome find. Thanks!

Dan Van Der Werf says:

This looks like a heck of a lot of fun for a second camera set up.

Samantha DaKoin says:

Hey man I love ur stuff..love the budget stuff. Cus a lot of us are new and just starting off or are young or like me just flat broke. Lol thanks for the awesome content!!

DSLR films says:

I have two canon eos M cameras but than with the canon fd lenses and of course the kit lens. Most of the time the raw is not that great because of the resolution loss. I do like the camera but when I started to us it profesional it isn’t that great for the work i do. I am now looking to upgrade from this camera. Does someone has a good idea for which camera to buy next.

Kasper Nørgaard says:

How is the Velbone tripod?

This Is Tech Today says:

s’cute!

I do like the design of the thing. Super neat.

Zachary Whitney says:

Nooooo you’re gonna drive up the prices 🙁

NathanBrutal says:

I did not think it could be that great, but that’s amazing!!! Great job man!!!

The Abyss says:

Bought this for timelapses years ago for not much more. Recently been adapting it to use for underwater work in an old film housing. Its a great camera for experimenting with if you want to try some diy lens adapters/lenses.

BeaverBoyB says:

That’s what i started with! A great beginner camera

Paul Kepner says:

How long does the battery last on the camera and how long will it record continusly? Does it have a standard EF mount on it? If so I would love to try my Zeiss glass on one sometime.

Edgar Juarez Hernandez says:

What version of EOS M is that?

Carlos Benjamin says:

Got a link for that c-mount video?

Alex Boyer says:

Would it work on a newer canon EOS-M camera, like the M3 or M100?

Sibat 777 says:

Idea
If you had a early teen child who is interested in being a videographer what would be a good starter kit
Eg taking them on their first safari and they want to vlog the adventure
Thought it could make a good video, budget, middle range and spoil them options

Nerd says:

I always really enjoy these budget videos where you show that you can still produce quality if you know what you are doing.
I think this video would have been 2-3x cooler if you would have had the opportunity to film a few scenes using cinematic lighting and maybe some friends as actors or something. Also, I am always curious to see how the camera and lens performs in your talking set up. Anyhow those are some ideas for future videos, thank you for this one! Very good and super budget! 🙂

MrChanw 11 says:

Got one for 100ish

tazjamental says:

Would love to see some cheap camera kits that have microphone in. Seems to be hard to find.

Kluger Mensch says:

Have this little beast since 1.5 years now and just made a big rig out of it.
Love the ability to shoot raw CONTINUOUSLY (at least for some minutes) in the highest possible resolution thanks to the new ml raw compression (29MB/s @ 10bit 1728×584 in 24p and no crop -> you have to stratch it in post a little bit so the aspect racio is correct). But colors are awesome and in raw youll get around 11 stops of dr 😀

Václav Mužík says:

Dam this is briliant! Love it!

MistaFussichannel says:

That camera is so underrated. It got a bad rep as it focussed slowly when it was released. They fixed it with an update but by then it was too late. It’s a great budget video camera. You get the excellent Cannon colours for a super low price.

Outside the Cube says:

If you used one of Canon’s cheap lenses, how good is the auto focus? Wondering if it’s possible to vlog with this setup.

Matěj Frnka says:

Hey, how good is camera’s pre amp, is it good enough for like rode video mic go or will there be that background “hiss”?

David Eastham says:

I’m going to have to grab me one of these quick. Great review and didn’t realize they were so inexpensive. I saw that I can also get an EF-M to EF-S adapter so I can use the lenses I already have. Another +

Gabby E says:

“I mean c’mon guys, seriously, look how cute” Lol that was the best selling point. Great video, definitely looks like something fun to play around with.

Zeeadster TV says:

It is a phenomenal little camera. And you can go much bigger with the rig. Check on my channel i built one that big and it is usefull. I love the eos m. It is a little version from the bmpcc.

WhichLens says:

Man Cab, u push OOF a little ! Could have a try @1.8 or 2.0 & wouldn’t have killed the babe.

Mike Anastasio says:

Have had a couple eos-m’s in the past few years and with money being a little tight it’s my only camera right now and it definitely punches well above it’s weight but is still pretty annoying to use haha. Especially for stills because the af is truly unusable. But for the price it really is a nice little camera.

Eness VFX And Videos says:

i have bmpcc

GeorgeGraves says:

Is there a really wide lens that would work well with this (on a budget)?

Steve Purdie says:

Really great video !! Shows what you can do with next to nothing. You could also throw a hand held stabiliser to help with the jitter, but the footage you got is really cool there. Almost has a slight retro cinema feel. Thumbs up from me

B.Waters says:

I own this camera and it was a just incase camera for me. After seeing this! No words. lol Thanks for sharing!

Outside the Cube says:

This would never have crossed my radar, but what a cool set up! I’m very tempted to get it just to avoid the dreaded comment, “You must have a really nice camera!”

Hench Marcin says:

Love it

Adam M says:

Does the lens retain the 35mm when mounted with the adapter? I’ve noticed there’s extra crop when using the EFM to EF mount adapter.

Humble Elephant Productions says:

Great video idea Caleb! Looking forward to seeing other setups

Ranger 7 Studios says:

This looks great! I’ve been looking to scale down the amount of weight I carry when I shoot red carpet and interviews. My question is, how does the Magic Lantern 14 bit RAW compare to the RAW of a newer camera? Is it any better/worse than just using the other formats, such as AVHC and mp4 on the camera? Does RAW give it a more filmic look? Thanks!

Chris Mayer says:

Yep, it’s cute

Marco Corzani says:

Does it have clean HDMI out? If yes what ist the frame rate?

Spencer McCormack says:

That shirt makes you look buff, lol

EposVox says:

Sick!

Mac Silvey says:

Thanks for the video!
if you haven’t, can you do a video on Magic Lantern? that is completely new to me!

avalanchegift says:

Just wondering if you recommend any good rack focus gear that could work with this camera specifically. Jw would love to know 😀

Alex Boyer says:

Also, what is Magic Lantern, how do you install it, and what are the benefits of it?

johannes914 says:

Expect the price of the EOS-M to rise in the next hours… 😉

M. RVK says:

He, I was wondering if it is possible to attache a external microphone
