Please make review for fe 24-105mm f4

anu l says:

please do a video on Sony all in one 10x zoom 24-240. I am interested in it but there are many compromises. Also see if there is sample variation since there seems to be quite a bit.

Brandon Lu says:

So far, it is impossible that a FF lens to be made as same size as (even slightly larger than) 16-50 with power-zoom/oss/af functions for any companies, even at any cost.

exit159 says:

Is this a new version of the lens or something?

MadMusicLine says:

it is perfect with sony 7s and the 12 Mpx. Love that lens. I think the 7r is to big for it

사시코 says:

not bad ! compare sel2470z…

Magnetron692 says:

Hi Chris, thank you very much for that review. On my Sony A7 Mk. II. I use an old Canon EF 3.5-4.5/28-70mm Mk. II lens along with an adapter from Traumflieger. I’m very satisfied with its image quality. This old lens is brighter at the long end then its Sony counterpart 🙂 It features no image stabilization due to its age, but the mirrorless camera does a great job there.

Pavlos Papageorgiou says:

I need to get one of these used, even though I have the “pro” 24-70 f2.8 that’s too big and expensive to carry around. The best feature of this lens is that it keeps its modest size while zooming. The front element extends only slightly at either end of the zoom range.

LeeMedia says:

So it has autofocus? I’m new to Sony so sorry for the amateur question

Youtube Surfer says:

Maybe iam wrong (no uk politic expert), but arent the higher prices a result of the brexit and weaker GBP?
I have this lense too, i choose this lense over the much more expensive zeiss lense because it has sharper cornes then the zeiss.

marinomisty says:

why only test in full frame?

Richard Andrade says:

The quality of its bokeh is pretty nice and smooth, but only when the background is not complex, so its bokeh is not pretty nice and good, but just that its bad bokeh is less visible with certain backgrounds as any other lens with a bad bokeh. So, saying it is pretty nice and good was not right, IMO.

Craig Brandau says:

Hey Christopher!  I want to thank you for all of your reviews.  I know it must take time and great effort to make the videos.  Thanks!

LAV2CAPTURE PHOTOGRAPHY says:

Why the focus ring is loose ?

tclarke971 says:

I know you do mostly Canon lens reviews but I wish you would do some Nikon reviews. I really enjoyed your Canon lens reviews but I have included a Nikon to my equipment.  You are by far one of the best reviewers on Youtube and would love to see your opinion on some Nikon lenses. Cheers!

Amit Krupal says:

Can you tell us about 3 things on Sony mirrorless. Zoom settings (clear image zoom, optical only & Digital zoom only) especially @70mm using 28-70 kit lens

Socrates Vela says:

Fantastic job. Thx! I subbed.

Jorge Sosa says:

Best wishes for 2018! Your videos are really good. I wanted to add something. I owned this lens and had to return it. In low light it won’t focus! It’s super bad! I had my a7ii and was shooting a wedding reception and I had to give up and use my a6000 and place a 55-210 on the a7ii for close ups. Maybe it was a defective but I would not recommend that lens.

Gango Farid says:

the prices of Sony producers in Europe are much higher from the usa

Matthew J says:

This len is far more cheaper in China. I only payed about 140 pounds for this len.

mad3st says:

What manufacturer has best full frame kit lens ?

Hjalmar Segura says:

great review! thank you.

Ed Waggoner Sr. says:

Christopher, it is pretty common for those who are not schooled in the laws of economics to cast the blame for high prices on the manufacturer.  Sony desires to sell lenses to Englishmen as well as Yanks.  If the price of a lens is higher in England than in the US we can blame our monopoly central banks.  Suppliers of lenses have lots of competition, the provider of your money has no competition.

scromfo says:

Bro, I love your videos! I am in the market for a new 35mm lens on my Canon 70D because I’m dissatisfied with my Yonguo 35mm lens. I was wondering if you could do a comparison of the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC HSM Art Lens, the Canon EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM, the Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 VC USD Lens and the Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM Lens.

jackodon74 says:

as far as kit lenses go this is a decent option…..not too fast but it’s pretty sharp at most f stops. Tamron 28-75 will be a nice alternative when it comes out

Ben Gregoire Design says:

very helpful. Thanks for making this

Marc P. says:

Chris, you’re unfortunately too late with your Review of this Lens – it was being designed with the A7 (original) and A7S in mind, with their 24 MP and 12 MP sensors. No-body seriously would consider this Lens onto a A7R II, or even A7R III, therefore, the new Sony G 24-105/F4 would be okay….this FE 28-70 was being bundled (only) with the A7 into Fall 2013, when it was being released, and i do have this lens also – but you know what? Never used it…my A7 does have the 28-85 Contax Zeiss mounted, or a Contax Zeiss Prime Lens, via adapter of course..usually.

Jamma Gaming says:

My dad found his old lenses. One of them was a Sigma 70-210mm f4-f5.6 uc. Do you know what adapter will attach the lens to my canon 1300d (rebel t6)

Daniel Dacoco says:

Hey Christopher, thank you very much for this test. Do you think it’s (optically) worth to replace an adapted Samyang 14mm 2,8 with an “native” Sony mount AF 14mm?
I’m currently considering doing that or going for the 12-24 F4 Sony G Lens (much more expensive, i know). Do you think the distortion is way better on the Sony 12-24? Or is it too much money for the value?

AhpgZfoc4s says:

Sure it would be nice if Sony could make the lens smaller, but if the trade-off is the atrocious performance at wide that the 16-50mm APS-C lens has, then forget it. It’s odd because wideangle is the only area where a mirrorless camera offers a real advantage in optical design and compactness. But maybe it’s easier to achieve those advantages with primes e.g. the Fuji 18mm, Ricoh GR/Coolpix A.

Jim Andre says:

i dont know why he is complaining about 400 pounds for that, because it costs 450 pounds here in norway

justun chan says:

For a full frame kit lens, $300 CAD is a steal. It’s form factor is rather small too. Look around other 24-70mm full frame lenses and they are much bigger. This piece of glass is quite the marvel.

IMAN Nayebi says:

Hi Christopher, Do you like reviewing Tamron 24-70 G2?

binaryblog says:

I’ve got this lens with my A7 III and the sharpness is really impressive for a kit lens. Btw. Great review as usual.

Paul lebbon says:

Your voice calms me when I feel stressed. Thank you and I love your reviews. I own Canon and so I usually don’t watch the Sony reviews, but I was feeling stressed. Great review and bless your voice.

man So says:

just buy a a7r3, so you dont need to borrow a a7r2 haaa

Jon Summers says:

The focus wings are as you say , wubberwised.

Abdullah Ali says:

Hi Chris can you recommend a adapter for my Sony a7r iii that ive order to mount some of my canon lens.

yohan rineko says:

Please review.
Canon 24-105mm f4L on sony a7rii.

Heráclito Rollemberg says:

I love your videos. I always consider your reviews when looking for a new lens. Could you review the Sony Zeiss 55mm 1.8?
