Hey man, great review, have you tested this lens with LAE3 adapter for video AF on mirrorless cameras like a7r3 etc, let me know if it did work, came across it in a shop used.

danimal818 says:

That camera won’t get you laid tho…. A-mount is for squares

Antonios says:

does it works with the LAEA4? My minoltas work very good

Jonesys Photos says:

So glad to see a new A mount lens! Good review and thanks for the heads up.

Appreciate your hard work in putting together this review for A Mount users Jay! Now, if only you have the Tamron 15-30 to compare this lens with 😀

Hello,

I’m using the Sony A 99II camera.
I am considering purchasing a wide-angle lens, especially for landscape photography.
One of the lenses I am considering to purchase is Sony Vario-Sonnar T * 16-35mm f / 2.8 ZA SSM II Lens.
I would be happy to know whether the 100X100 and 100X150 square filters are appropriate when shooting at a focal length of 16mm, or that I will encounter any limitations in photographing.
Thanks in advance
Gershon Gilat

I’ve no doubt A mount users will rejoice over the release of this lens if for no other reason than it cements Sonys commitment to A mount.

Aaron says:

Great review.

roberto cordero says:

Question, did figure out whats the sweet spot of this lens?

Abhishek Barman says:

Can u review Sony A68…..Is it worth buying?

Birdman says:

Are you using any ND filters or any other type in these photos?  Lens seems to be top notch.  I might have to add a modern lens to my arsenal.

Shang-Hsien Yang says:

By the way, does anyone know if the lens hood is compatible with the 16-35mm f/2.8 GM?

xyz2k says:

Can you AF in video using a6500?

Gustavo Ulloa says:

Ok, better than Sony 16-35 f/.2.8 GM e-mount…

roberto cordero says:

I have this lens which i love and hate. super sharp but there’s a lot of ghosting the wider you get and have the version2 of this lens which i use on my a99. You can see how sharp this lens by the images i have uploaded to my IG @bobbyfingers

Socrates Vela says:

Thought A mount was dead. Sony is killing it on all fronts. I heard sony has a 400 f2.8 coming too.
