Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE lens review with samples

Another interesting autofocus lens from Samyang, for Sony E-mount cameras, full-frame or APS-C. The competing Sony version of this lens costs over twice as much money! Can the Samyang version keep up the quality?

Your lens reviews are stellar! Thanks

Manuel Ares González says:

Samyang makes really good lenses, but they have to work on the coatings, not flare resistant enough and they give a yellowish cast on Sony sensors, making reds a bit orangish, and changing a bit other colours. Apart from that, great lenses based on price/performance.

So Mr. Frost, by any chance would we see Tamron’s new 24-70 in the future?

tean tan says:

I believe the last two samyang Fe lenses are quite noisy, is the motor from this model noisy? Or Comparable to the Sony 35mm or worse?

How does autofocus perform when recording video on A6300?

Foto4Max says:

Cannot say anything good about the samyang AF lenses. AF hunts a lot and is worse than Canon Lenses on a sigma adapter.
