Vinay Kumar says:

Will it the same great even on Canon 80d?

Marko Kamberi says:

I think the lens was sharper on the crop sensor at 1.8

Keith says:

Hi my friend is looking for an 85mm, this might be the one, could you advise me, will this lens fix a Canon 400d rebel XTI. Being a Sony shooter i dont know a lot about the Canon mounts, and if they changed since this older camera came out. thanks.

Canon EOS R

Thank you so much for making this video! It answers a lot of questions I had about the the 85mm 1.8 lens 🙂

Richard Crowe says:

Great lens for my Canon DSLR cameras… BTW: The Face Detect Focus feature using live view with my Canon 6D2 nails focus on the eyes of my subject 95% of the time…

Kevin T. says:

Decent video, but as others mentioned you’re talking about what is primarily a portrait lens and didn’t use it to do any portraits for the review. Also… three ads in this video? Really?

OrganicFarmer says:

A great lens for a great price. I would like to also try the 70-200 f2.8 IS USM…is the IS first generation any good for video because it’s quite a bit cheaper than the IS ii or IS iii?

Vivi’s little hobbies says:

Will this work for the canon M50?

new girl says:

Wow great lens nice price

BlackEntrepreneur24 says:

I’m getting this lens for close ups and 50mm 1.8 for full body shots.

Mohamad Salahaldin says:

Thanks for the informative video, I thought to start with portraits photography (hobby) and I decided to go with 85mm with my Canon 80D, I know that 80D is APC and I have to move back while shooting but its sharp. The only thing that confused me to buy it is the lack of image stabilization so which lenses you recommend for portrait in crop sensor and having image S and sharpness .. Thanks

Amna Qureshi says:

Please use this lens to canon 80d?

Joshua Bell says:

Do a giveaway

Tyler Cresser says:

Great video. Recently just purchased my first DSLr, being the Canon EOS Rebel SL2. Will I have any issues matching this Lens with my SL2? Still learning what lens is compatible with which DSLR. Thanks 🙂

Francisco Alvarez says:

Just got this and it INSTANTLY became my go-to portrait lens. Nothing you said in this video is a lie. For the quality, it’s very affordable, lets lots of light in, bokehlicious and a great B-Roll lens if you’re into video. Great review, T-Bones!

LordArioh says:

u’r a bit too harsh with BOKEH King. my f1.2 is unbeatable in Bokeliciousness, especially if you’re not into a test chart photography.

Scott Mathieson says:

How does this compare to the tamron 85mm 1.8 vc?

MrCochise71 says:

One of my favorite lenses. Very underrated.

Kevin Clements says:

I have this lens and I LOVE it !!!! One of my favorite lenes,

Scott D says:

I own this lens and use it with a 5D mk lll. It’s probably my favourite lens. Tack sharp and photographs totally pop.

sub Sefyu says:

Great content thank you for sharing. I just want to know what lense was on the T7I “03:30”? looks like a 50mm but what brand?

Steven Hernandez says:

I’ve been wanting to Buy one buy waiting since I just bought the 24mm f2.8 Great video!

Richard Crowe says:

It always seems to me that reviewing a lens built mainly for portraiture by shooting flowers and brick walls, although easier to accomplish, doesn’t show me what I want to see…

plhearts says:

20 year old lens?

Sarah Ash says:

No point to talk about f 2.8 f4 you buy this lens for 1.8
