Should YOU BUY a FISHEYE Lens? | Samyang 8 mm Fisheye Nikon Review

Samyang 8mm Fisheye f/3.5 Review

Have you ever thought about buying a ultra wide angle lens?

A fisheye lens is great for close up photography and extremly wide angle situations. When i first bought This samyang 8 mm Fisheye lens i did not think i was going to use it that much, i was wrong. I was really impressed about the creative pictures it can produce.

This lens don’t feature any electronics so you have to live without Auto Focus and Camera controlled apature.

The price for this lens is around 315 Dollars. This prime lens has a 180 degree diagonal angle of view and illuminates the entire frame, it has no image stabilization and it weights 443 grams

This lens has become very popular recently, there is just lots of field of view for this lens. It can be tricky when using the lens for DSLR Cinematography as it easily distort the image, i’ve noticed myself that the best way to get the most out of the fisheye lens is to set it up for sliding scenes or really close up photography.

The ultra wide angle lens can be great for interior photography, it can make really small places look big, Specially HDR Interior photgraphy, tho, far away objects can also look almost too far away to be interesting for the picture.

The build quality feels very good on this lens, it’s mostly made of metal so it’s a really tough lens, also the manual control focus feels very smooth and is easy to oparate. you can adjust the apature manually by using the ring on the lens, the apature goes between 3.5 all the way to f22. I myself dont worry so much about the non AF because everything seems to be in focus all the time, changing the manual focus doesent seem to change drasticly

Finally you can check out some pictures in the end of the video or on my website that i took with the fisheye lens, i hope you liked this short review, have a great day! Thanks
