Nice setup, D 7100 is an awesome camera, I used to have it before I got the D 800. Now Im thinking to get this lens to complete my lenses. Do you prefer this lens before a wide angle for landscapes? I have the  28 mm 1.8G which is a brilliant lens, but sometimes I want something very wide to get the whole scene.

What happens while recording a video? Do you have to reset the focus adjustments or does it stay focused?

Turning the manual focus switches tells the ‘camera’ to not try and move lens, will save battery.
